Paying The Price
Jesus paid the ultimate price for the sinners of the world. Jesus, portrayed here by Rogelio Sergio Paniagua of Bay City, is flogged by Roman Soldiers during the “Live Stations of the Cross,” a reenactment of His suffering and dying on the cross held on Good Friday, April 2 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Clergy and parishioners gathered near the gazebo of the church to pray and witness the events that unfolded. Christians around the world will celebrate Jesus’ victory over death tomorrow, Easter Sunday, the day in which He was raised from the dead, promising a future resurrection for all who believe.
