Robert Lee Robinson passed away June 27, 2019. He was born to Evelyn and Lee Robinson of Louise on March 21, 1938. He was 81 years old. Robert graduated from Louise High School with the class of 1958 and then joined the U.S. Navy in June of 1958 and served 10 years doing two tours of duty in Vietnam.

In later years he worked as a security supervisor for Foley’s stores and a maintenance supervisor for Louise ISD. Robert was an active member of St. Robert’s Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the VFW and VVA.

Missing him is his wife of 22 years, Evelyn Barosh Robinson; his two sons, Dirk Robinson of El Campo and Romy (Rhonda) Robinson of Fulshear. Also, his three step-sons, Mark (Melissa) Lilie of Louise, Henry (Teresa) Lilie of El Campo and Deron (Robin) Lilie of the Plainview area; four grandchildren, Korryn, Aspyn, Ireland and Ryder Robinson and six step-grandchildren, Walter D., Isabel, Dylan, Ashley, Ty and Maci Lilie. Also, surviving him are sisters, Dell Williams, Lillie Estrello and brother, Gene Robinson. He is also survived by many favorite nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Manuel Robinson and Charlie Robinson.

Robert was a nature enthusiast. He liked beach life, traveling with his wife, Evelyn, chocolate chip cookies, carousing with his grand dog, Lucy, and generally having fun swapping tall tales.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 at Triska Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will also be from 8 - 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3 at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Robert’s Catholic Church. Burial under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251 will follow at St. Procopius Cemetery in Louise.
