James Irby

James “Randy” Irby, 67, of Richmond, passed away June 25, 2019. He was born Nov. 14, 1951 in Seminole, Okla.. Randy served in the U.S. National Guard. He enjoyed restoring old cars, going to deer camp with family, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren, who called him Popo.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Collins Irby of Katy; wife, Linda Priesmeyer Irby of Richmond; son, Brent Irby and wife Natalie and grandchildren, Kylie, Krista, Blair and Bryce Irby of El Campo.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, James Edgar Irby; daughter, Jill Elizabeth Irby and father-in-law, Clarence Priesmeyer.

Visitation begins at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at Triska Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass begins at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28 at St. Philip Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial follows at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Memorial donations in memory of Randy may be made to St. Philip School.
