Katherine Perry

Katherine Marie Perry was born on June 23, 1942 in Rosenberg to Lillian and Leo “Buck” Henneke. As a child she moved with her family to Hallettsville. This is where she called home. She has been a resident of El Campo for 58 years.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James “Jim” Perry and her five children, Deborah (Paul) Elledge of El Campo, Mary (Parker) Labay of El Campo, Christine Satsky of East Bernard, Melissa Perry of El Campo and James Perry (Judy) of El Campo. She has 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo “Buck” and Lillian Henneke; brother, George Henneke; sister, Sandra Benbow and granddaughter, Jacie Perry.

She was a beautiful, loving person who loved family, and the small things in life. She loved to cook. She worked 30 years at the El Campo High School Food Service. She will be greatly missed.

The family wants to extend their gratitude to her loving caregiver, Alice Warzecha, Hospice and all of the family and friends who have called, messaged or delivered food items to the home.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Kyler Castillo, Dillon Hadash, Greg Yackel, James Herrington, Mike Couvillion and Shane Henneke.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Houston Hospice - El Campo.
