Benito Acuna

Benito Acuna, 90, of Danevang, passed away June 16, 2019. He was born on March 21, 1929 in Yorktown to Manuel and Juana Delgado Acuna. He was a retired farmer

He is survived by his daughters, Gertrude Cano and husband Richard, Irma Cano and husband Louis, all of El Campo; sons, Ruben Acuna of Danevang and Benito Acuna Jr. and wife Nina of Richmond; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; brothers, Jesus Acuna of Stephenville and Rafael Acuna of Danevang and sisters, Maria Gonzalez of El Campo, Adelfa Sanchez of Markham, Paula Vega of El Campo and Sulema Ramos of Nada.

Benito was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gertrudis Acuna and brothers, Manuel Acuna Jr., Alfredo Acuna, Martin Acuna and Joe Acuna.

Visitation begins 3 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at Triska Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass begins 10 a.m. Friday, June 21 at St. Robert’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Acuna, Christopher Acuna, Matthew Acuna, Louis Cano, Louis Cano Jr., Andrew Cano and Jessica Cano.
