Joe Villela

Joe Ines Villela, 62, of Rosenberg, passed away May 29, 2019. He was born Nov. 27, 1956 in Harlingen to Fidencio Villela Sr. and Soledad Garcia Villela. Joe was director of accounting for Upstream Energy Services. He enjoyed playing golf, poker and spending time with his granddaughters and family. Joe was a humble, generous and loving man.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Gonzalez Villela of Rosenberg; daughters, Jennifer Salazar and husband Christopher of Spring and Annabelle Villela Palacios and husband Vincent of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Alexis Flores, Danielle Salazar and Alyssa Salazar; siblings, Raquel Tovar, Isabel Villela, Fidencio Villela Jr., Jovita Muenzler, Olga Villela, Rosa Puglisi and husband Tony, Ruben Villela, Angelica Villela and Daniel Villela and wife Rachel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alicia Bustillos and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raul and Inez Gonzalez of El Campo.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Friday, May 31 at Triska Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 1 at St. Robert’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Salazar, Vincent Palacios, Abel Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez, Fidencio Villela Jr., Ruben Villela and Daniel Villela.
