Loraine M. Pasak Livanec, 95, of El Campo, passed away June 30, 2019. She was born Aug. 28, 1923 in Snook to Adolph and Francis Skopik Pasak. She, along with her husband Anton, owned and operated Wagon Wheel Inn Country Store and Taiton Garage and Grocery Store in Taiton. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1374.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Valchar of El Campo and Alice Kallina of Alleyton; son, Norbert Livanec of El Campo; grandchildren, Jacqueline Schneider and husband Kirk, Kelly Pickett and husband Jeff, Pamela Kallina, Galynn Mazoch and husband Gary, Keith Livanec and wife Pam, Dee Ann Rawlinson and husband Clint, Rusty Livanec and wife Sheila and Laurie Valchar-Ramirez; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Loraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anton Livanec; daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Livanec; son-in-law, Joseph Kallina Jr.; sister, Ella Livanec and brothers, Adolph, Daniel and Bill Pasak.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 at St. John’s Catholic Church in New Taiton with a Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gabriel Oduro Tawiah officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park in El Campo.
Pallbearers will be Clint Rawlinson, Jeff Pickett, Kirk Schneider, Dean Pfeffer, Gary Mazoch, Kohl Pickett, Devon Janak and Dylon Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Pickett and Reneau Gold.
Memorial donations in memory of Loraine may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church or Houston Hospice - El Campo.
