Frank Anthony Popp Jr., 78, of Garwood, passed away Oct. 2, 2012. He was born Oct. 9, 1933 in Garwood to late Frank A. and Anne Heine Popp. Frank loved deer hunting, playing dominos and was known for his homemade mustang grape wine. He was involved in the Knights of Columbus, Garwood Lions Club, VFW, American Legion 251, Garwood Volunteer Fire Department and a very active parishioner of St. Mary’s. He loved being with family and friends and above all he was a wonderful husband, daddy and pawpaw. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sablatura Popp of Garwood; daughter and son-in-law, Sharla and Wayne Young and their sons Trey and Jake; son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Becky Popp and their daughter Bailey; daughter, Shari Popp; sisters, Tina Hubenak and Mary Ann Kozel; extended family, Mark and Cynthia Boenisch, Brett and Blake Boenisch, Cody and Shelley Thompson and their daughters, Faith and Ria, and Kaylyn Boenisch.
