Amelia T. Garcia

Amelia T. Garcia 87 of El Campo, passed away on Jan. 4, 2022. She was born on Feb. 13, 1934 in Taft to the late Pablo and Juanita Casteano Trevino.  

She is survived by her husband Amador Garcia of El Campo; daughters Norma Contreras of El Campo, Rosie Garcia of Houston, Silvia Junot of El Campo; sons Johnny Garcia and wife Sandra of Alice, Amador Garcia, Jr.  and wife Elizabeth of El Campo, Felix Garcia and wife Cathy of El Campo, and Lee Vasquez and wife Marie of El Campo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister Josefina Espinosa of Palacios; and brother Louis Trevino of Kennedy.

Amelia is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Trevino, Emma Galindo, and Minnie Trevino; and brothers Frank, Pete, and Edward Trevino.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home.  A Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Robert’s Catholic Church with the funeral mass following at 2 p.m.. Burial will be at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Lee Vasquez, Ray Contreras, Little Felix Garcia, Roy Garcia, Kasey Rodriguez, and Fabian Rodriguez.
